How do I search for an employee's phone number in Webex?

Since the change over to Webex from our old phone system, searching for an employee extension is no longer available through the directory on the phone itself. Instead, all searches for phone numbers and extensions will be conducted through the Webex app. This will also ensure that you are receiving the most up-to-date phone system information as an employee may have moved or have been assigned a different phone number.

There are two ways to search for a phone number in Webex:

Method 1:

1. Click on the search bar at the top of the Webex window
2. Search for the name of the employee you wish to contact
3. Hover over the profile picture of the employee and you should see their contact card pop up where their phone number and extension will be visible
   • NOTE: You only need to dial the last 4 digits of the extension if you are trying to contact an employee that is in the phone system

Method 2:

1. Search for the employee the same way you would in Method 1 Steps 1-2
2. Click on the employee's name. You should see a chat window open up.
3. Under the user's name in the chat window, click on Profile
4. This will also pull up the employee's contact card as well
